Kelly Clarkson webcast!! Premiere of Mr. Know It All!! Check it out!!

Ok!! I was supposed to wake up at 5 this morning to watch Kelly's webcast but I overslept and woke up at 9!!! Thank God someone capped the interview!! Anyway Kelly's webcast lasted like 30 minutes only because there was some Internet issue!! She's so cute in the webcast and she was rambling non-stop!!Can't stop watching it!! She all but confirmed that my fav. song "What Doesn't Kill You" is on the album and her duet partner is Kara Dioguardi! She should do these webcasts more often!! So cute!!

Mmmm.... Sushi! Perfect Lunch For A Quiet Day....

This has been like the quietest day at work ever!! I cannot believe it!! The phone hasn't rung once and I don't have a single thing to do!! None of the management is in and I enjoyed a leisurely sushi lunch with my colleagues. The sushi was absolutely scrumptious! It's seaweed and rice wrapped in prawn tempura, crab sticks, unagi, avocado and tobiko on top!! It's so good, I tried my best to finish the damned thing!! I almost succeeded in this worthy quest but alas, I only managed to finish 6 complete pieces while the remaining 2, I only ate the filling. I'm so full now, it's a good thing I don't have much to do at work cuz I'm feeling awfully sleepy now.... *Yawn* Can't wait for work to end....

Watching "Lives of Omission: Laughing Gor" now and I have to say, the show is rather mediocre. Maybe it's because besides Michael Tse's Laughing Gor, the rest of the cast is just not that outstanding. Especially Fala Chen!! She just doesn't convince me as a cop and her chemistry with Michael is at best questionable. Bosco Wong and Kate Tsui's portrayals are alright, nothing spectacular. Of course, Damian Lau is always dependable as a character actor but this series is just adequate. There's nothing groundbreaking about the plot or the acting. *Sigh* Is it so difficult to find and interesting show with good acting and a decent plot? Maybe it's too much to expect from TVB....

The Beginning of a Long Holiday...... YAY!!

I'm beyond ecstatic that I'm gonna have a 6 days holiday (including Sunday)!! It's like the longest holiday I have since I started work!! A big YAY for me since I feel so lazy lately!! I'm going to take the opportunity to relax, watch some movies/TV shows and NOT shop!! I've been telling myself that I'm not going to indulge in any retail therapy for at least another 2 months!! Lord give me the strength to get through this!!

Anyway, I just re-watched "The Devil Wears Prada" and I just love Meryl Streep!! She's so deliciously cruel in the movie and Emily Blunt is fantastically bitchty! I mean I first watched this movie a few years ago and I remembered being very impressed with Emily Blunt. I mean Meryl Streep has always been an Acting Goddess to me but this is the first time I watched Emily Blunt act and she's brilliant! As for Anne Hathaway, I was never that impressed with her.... She's always benn kinda meh to me...

I've been listening to Kelly Clarkson's "Mr. Know It All" on repeat and I have to admit, the song is growing on me.... I like it but I don't love it.... Frankly, my first reaction when I heard the song was "What the fuck!! I waited for so fucking long for this single and this is what I get??" Then I realised I should not be so judgemental, afterall I've always supported Kelly and I've come too far not to continue supporting her. At least she sounds great in it and though this may not be my first choice for her re-introduction to the public, it's still better than most of the songs on radio today. One final gripe about this whole situation is what the hell is with the artwork for the song!! It's so blah and the greenish tint is so unbecoming!! Kelly looks rather pretty in the original picture but the added effects makes her looks washed out!! I hope the album cover is gonna be more awesome and breathtaking than this!!

I woke up this morning and received the craziest news ever!! Kelly Clarkson's  "Mr. Know It All" has leaked. I scrambled to listen to the song!! As big a fan as I am, I couldn't wait to listen to the song. After listening to it, I have to say I'm not that impressed.... It's a nice song but to me nice is not a compliment.... Nice is a word I use when I don't like something but I don't really like it... Anyway, I hope this is a build up single and I will grow to love it after a few dozen listens. I'm looking forward to the music video though. Fingers crossed it will be brilliant!!

I just read Kelly Clarkson's new interview "Soundtrack of my life" with EW magazine!! Kelly Clarkson revealed some interesting tidbits in the interview... Honestly, I was hoping RCA will be doing a little more promotion for Kelly's new single... Afterall, the management has changed and I'm hoping that they will support and promote Kelly the way she deserves to be promoted. I believe that this album is the beginning of a new era for her. Fingers crossed this new album will be more successful than her last!!

Oh My God!! I just read Kelly Clarkson's "Mr. Know It All" lyrics!! I love the lyrics and I'm sure it will be a brilliant song!! According to some industry insiders, the song has a mellower feel to it.... Kinda sounds like "Just Missed The Train" according to some DJ. I have a very good feeling about the song cuz I love "Just Missed The Train" and the lyrics sounds interesting. I love the fact that the song is not riddled with the words "Mr. Know It All". It just appears twice. But I have to say, I'm so anxious to hear the song I'm actually jittery with excitement! So here are the lyrics and some of the reviews I saw about the song!! My First Time...

Yesterday night was my first time...I actually fell asleep around 9.30pm!! I cannot remember the last I fell asleep this early (that is when I'm not feeling sick)!! I actually woke only when my alarm rang!! So I slept for like a solid 8 hours instead of my usual 6!! Everyday I wake up between 5.30 pm to 6 pm (except weekends!!). For once I actually feel refreshed without my coffee!! Thank God for the 8 hours of sleep cuz I actually feel energised instead of my zombie self before coffee!! Ever since I started working, I started missing my university days where I can basically sleep when I want to sleep and I don't need to worry about being late (except for exam days). Now, every weekday I need to plan what time I sleep so I can wake up for work...*Sigh* Is this what working is all about? You wake up, trudge through horrendous traffic to get to work, work like a robot, leave work, trudge though another round of horrendous traffic to get back home/wherever, enjoy like 4 hours of bliss before I have to get to bed.... I enjoy my work but I don't think I want to stay there too long... maybe 2-3 years at most... gain the experience and find something I'm passionate about.... The thing is I still have no idea what industry I want to work in.. I'm currently adrift in the Seas of Confusion. I just hope I don't drown in it and one day I'll be able to find my way to the Shores of Clarity....

Kelly Clarkson revealed that she's been robbed!!

Ok I just read an article with the title "Kelly Clarkson said that she had been robbed" and the first thing that crossed my mind was "WHAT THE FUCK!! Who the fuck would try to rob her!!" Then I read the article and it seems that Kelly is less than happy with the fact that so many demos had been leaked. Although she said that some of the demos are very old and she recorded them quite a few years ago, the fact is she's still outraged with the whole situation. Of course she has every right to feel outrage but I cannot in good conscience say that I have not listened to those leaks (repeatedly). In fact I'm listening to "What Doesn't Kill You" now. She also revealed that some of the leaks will be in the new album but those leaks are just demos and are not finished versions.... Ooh.... I cannot wait to hear the album and I'm hoping that "I Forgive You", "Let Me Down" and "What Doesn't Kill You" will be in the album!! I love these songs and although I support Kelly and I tried to restrain myself from listening to those leaks, I couldn't help myself and I indulged. Call me a bad fan but I've been waiting for new Kelly music for like two years!! I've listened and watched her live performances over and over again to tide me over until I get some new music!! Now I'm overjoyed that I will be listening to her new song "Mr. Know It All" next week!! I'll gladly skip sleep and work just to get my Kelly fix!! Thankfully, I don't need to work on both 30 and 31 August!! YAY!!! Happy times will be coming soon!!

Had my first bowl of Lam Mee today....interesting....

Today's lunch was pretty special to me cuz it's the first time I had Lam Mee.... Such an interesting dish.... It's basically thick yellow noodles with thick gravy and some slices of chicken and prawns and bean sprouts. I'm not a fan of bean sprouts but the overall taste is rather nice and I think I will definitely give it a second try... I have to say the portion is rather large for me since I could barely finish half the noodles. I tried it with my colleagues at this place called Living Food Restaurant which is apparently quite established. So... after years of wanting to try this dish, I finally took the opportunity to eat it and it's overall quite an enjoyable experience. My next dish to try is Sarawak Mee. Fingers crossed it will be a good experience...

And Kelly Clarkson's new duet partner is....

Well well well... There has been much speculation since last year about who Kelly Clarkson is going to duet with for her new album...At one point, all signs were pointing to Chris Daughtry (another member of Idol alumni and one of the better ones)... Well now it has been revealed by Kelly's band member and musical director, Jason Halbert that it is Kara Dioguardi (singer, songwriter, music producer and former Idol judge). I think she wrote quite a few songs for/with Kelly although I only know two... "Walk Away" and "I Do Not Hook Up"...Both great songs and are a few of my favorites.... Though I have to say did I expect her to be the duet partner.... I always wished Kelly would do a duet with Pink!! I love the both of them and I think if the both of them collaborated on some female rock anthem, it will be beyond AWESOME!! Still I support Kelly's decision and Kara does write some good songs and eventhough I haven't heard her sing before... I'm sure she's a great singer (not as good as Kelly of course). Of course if Kelly does duet with Chris Daughtry, it will be good too cuz the both of them did a great job with Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car"!! It's one of my favorite songs ever and the both of them brought a great feel to the song....

Time flies when you're not paying attention...

Time really flies when you're not paying attention....I keep thinking it's still Saturday but it's already Sunday. There's still so much that needs to be done before I consider it a full weekend!! I had planned to spring clean my room since last month but it's still not done yet..I'm so good at procrastinating, I should get an award for it.... *Sigh* All I've done this weekend is watch a couple of movies, sleep and I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually found some of the old cartoons I used to watch like "Talespin", "Duck Tales" and "Tiny Toon Adventures"!! I'm downloading them now and I've watched a few episodes and it's bringing back so many memories of my childhood!! I have to say they don't make cartoons like this anymore (and they should!!) I love these shows when I was younger!! These and "Rugrats" and "Recess" were my top favorite cartoon shows!! I still love them so much although I have outgrown them... I love them because it brings back so many memories and wishes that I could be like the kids in the shows!! Imagine going on so many adventures and having so much fun!! What kid wouldn't want that?

Anyway my plan to not shop this weekend is a complete success!! I stayed at home the entire weekend and enjoyed these old cartoons along with some good movies!! I watched "Sound of Music", "My Fair Lady" and "Mary Poppins"!! I can officially dub this weekend as Nostalgia Weekend cuz I loved these movies when I was a small kid!! Watching them again made me feel innocent again and I haven't felt that in years.... I realize how much time has passed since I first saw these movies and all of a sudden I feel so old and jaded... I may not be that old but sometimes I feel like I have lived too much.... Of course being the contrary bitch that I am, I also feel like I haven't truly lived because I haven't done a quarter of the things I wanna do before I kick the bucket.... *Sigh* Enough with these morbid thoughts!! I need to put myself in the proper mindset to prepare myself for the hellish week ahead!! So I'm gonna listen to Kelly and sing my heart out!!

My Kelly's demos are a treat to be enjoyed!!

As a huge fan of Kelly's, I've always made the utmost effort to enjoy every single song she sings. I have to admit I don't love some of the songs she sings but I do adore the way she sings in general.. So passionate and sometimes you feel like she's singing to you.... I've been her fan for more than 7 years and I love her live shows because she always bring a lil something extra.... I've listened to those nine demos or leaks and I may not love the majority of them but I LOVE "Let Me Down" , "I Forgive You" , "What Doesn't Kill You", "Breaking Your Own Heart", "I Wish I Could Be Lonely Instead" and "Get Away" that I've been listening to them on repeat for more than two hours!! So here are the demos/leaks.... enjoy!! 
PS: I didn't include Dumb+Dumb=You because well it's my least favorite out of the whole bunch and I actually deleted it.

 

"Breaking your own heart" : Such as sad song and she sang it beautifully. Love it!

   

"Let Me Down" : So catchy and it'll be a great single if she ever decides to release it!!

 

"Dark Side" : It's ok... I don't hate it but it's not my usual cup of coffee....

 

"I wish I could be lonely instead" : Nice song!! Love it but I prefer "Breaking your own heart"

 

"Tell Me A Lie" : Again it's kind of a meh song for me.... 

 Can't figure out why though... Maybe it'll grow on me....

"I Forgive You" : Currently have it on repeat. Can't stop listening to it!!

"What Doesn't Kill You": Fucking love this song!! Must be released or it'll be a fucking waste!!

 

"Don't Be A Girl About It" : It certainly has a different vibe to it... I don't love it but it's ok...

Sunrise.... *sigh*

Every morning I trudge to work and go through relatively hellish traffic and this is the first time I actually notice the sun rising... I've never been one to truly enjoy nature... To me, the sun is not my friend.... after all the sun is the embodiment of heat and I hate the heat.... But today, when I stared at the sun rising and realise how is it that after all these years, I finally notice the beauty of sunrise....Hmm... this has given me much food for thought.... The euphoria I felt from Kelly's news have sort of dispelled and now I'm back to my usual maudlin self....*Sigh* Still I did manage to snap some pics of the sun rising (the quality is horrible but what the hell!!)....

OMG!! Kelly Clarkson's single "Mr. Know It All" will premiere on August 30!!! Also new album title and release date!!! AHHH!!

OMG!! I can hardly believe it!! My absolute favorite singer in the entire universe, the wonderful and talented Kelly Clarkson will be premiering her newest single "Mr. Know It All" on August 30 on her webcast!! Thank God I don't have to work on that day or the next day!! I will stay up all night just to have the first listen of what will undoubtedly be a fantastic song with powerful vocals!! AHH!! I'm so excited I can barely contain myself!! Her new album also has a title now!! "Stronger" is gonna hit US stores on 25 October and you can now pre-order it in her revamped official website!! The new site looks fantastic and bless them for getting rid of all that ghastly pink!! Ugh!! The new layout is much more suitable for her but... I may be a lil biased since pink isn't my favorite color!! I honestly cannot wait to listen to her new album and for Kelly, I will actually purchase the album instead of illegally downloading in!! I am the first to admit, I have never been one to purchase original music and movies unless I have absolutely no choice but for Kelly, I will buy at least one copy of the album!! I will buy both the Standard Release and the Special Release!! I hate to say this but I do have a small gripe about her album title.... "Stronger" sounds so generic and honestly I thought it will be something edgier (don't ask me what cuz I have no fucking idea what I want the title to be just not this!!). Still I support Kelly in whatever she does!!! And I have to admit, it seems this time it seems RCA is giving her the support she deserves but who knows with these record executives!! 

Anyway, I have been listening to her recently leaked demos and out of the nine of them, I love "I forgive you", " What doesn't kill you" and "Breaking your own heart"!! These three songs have to be in the album!!! "I forgive you" and "What doesn't kill you" is so fucking catchy, I couldn't get the bloody songs of my head!! "Breaking your own heart" is heart-wrenching and she sang it so emotionally!! The rest of the songs..... well I don't love them but I don't hate them either.... One of the other demos I heard is "Get Away" and it's so catchy!! Apparently, it was recorded during her Breakaway era.... no wonder!! It has a "Walk Away" vibe to it!! I'm so excited about all these good news that I'm listening to all her demos again!

This morning I had the best breakfast ever!!! My dad bought sweet turnip dumplings from his friend's wife!! It's so fucking delicious I almost couldn't stop eating them!! It has sweet turnips and dried shrimps in it and the wrap is made out of God knows what!! Brilliant taste!!You can't buy them from just anywhere cuz the way this woman makes them is like.... WOW!!! I can't get the taste out of my head!! I'm feeling hungry just thinking about it!!! I have only one word to describe the dumplings!! YUMMY!!!

The Beginning of the Journey to the Inner Depths of My Mind.... Enjoy It While You Can....

This is the start of my journey... I don't know what or where my destination is going to be but I do know that all I want is just a little happiness. I am not an interesting person but I do need a place where I can express myself without feeling like I have to censor myself just so I don't offend my so-called loved ones. *Sigh* I think most people have a love-hate relationship with their family and I have always wanted to be the good little girl my parents wish  but alas I am not what they want as a daughter. Although they have never voiced that thought, I still feel as if I am not the kind of daughter they wish they have. I am too headstrong and I tend to have an opinion about everything. Nowadays, I seldom voice those opinions anymore because all I want is a little peace and quiet after a day's work....

Enough about this shit!! Today is a public holiday and I spent most of the day watching some TV shows and listening to Kelly Clarkson. My brother, his wife and daughter also came over to for a visit and I spent some time with my 3 year old niece. She's running around like she's high on sugar (doubt it) but I wonder where the hell does she get the energy from! She also banged a little on the piano and all of a sudden, I felt like playing again. I did a piss poor job playing since I can only remember like one song and I still flubbed at it. Kinda sad since I started learning when I was five though I stopped at fourteen since I was never any good at it due to the lack of practice. When I was playing some song I learnt ten years ago, Schumann's Wild Horseman was playing in my head. I tried to play that tune but after a few spectacular fails, I gave up and decided to you tube it. It's better than banging away on the piano and making a racket... So this is the video I found of some kid playing the song. 

It's good but I still feel like it lacks something or maybe it's my envy rearing its ugly head. So my mood went from good to blah to bad in the span of one hour.... I realised I needed to do something so I won't spend the rest of the day feeling like crap over some kid's ability to play the fucking piano better than me. I decided to watch Shakira's Oral Fixation tour and I have to say I love this chick! She can belly-dance like nobody's business and her songs are so fucking catchy but I have to admit her Latin songs are way way better than her English ones even though I have no fucking idea what the hell is she singing! One of my favorites is "Si Te Vas" and I love this live version she did in Rock in Rio!! It's fantastic the way she got the crowd singing!

Amazing!! I love it! and sometimes I wish my Kelly Clarkson can be like her sometimes. As much as I love Kelly, I think she can do much better looks wise and as much as I love her songs and her concerts, sometimes I wish she makes better fashion choices. *Sigh* it's the superficial me.... I realized that most of the female celebrities I love are not exactly stick thin figures that seem to be all the rage these days. Like Kate Winslet and Kelly Clarkson.... Both blondes and both are not exactly thin but they are crazy talented at what they do and I love the fact that they are not exactly conventionally thin by today's unforgiving standards.... Love that they don't bow down to this unrealistic standard!!! Well it's time to end this post and today I will end it with my Kelly singing one of my favorite songs withe HER idol, Reba Mcentire!!!
